The Allegheny Trail is a long-distance hiking route of about 300 miles running north to south through eastern West Virginia, from the Mason-Dixon Line near Bruceton Mills to the Appalachian Trail near Peters Mountain on the Virginia line. It is maintained by volunteers of the West Virginia Scenic Trails Association and crosses the Monongahela National Forest, Watoga State Park and the Greenbrier valley. Sections are hiked far more often than the full route.
