Seneca State Forest covers about 11,600 acres along the Greenbrier River near Dunmore in Pocahontas County and is the oldest state forest in West Virginia. It has rustic cabins with no electricity, a campground, a four-acre lake and the restored Thorny Mountain Fire Tower, which can be rented overnight. Cass and Marlinton are each about 20 minutes away.
