Burnsville Lake is a Corps of Engineers reservoir of about 970 acres on the Little Kanawha River at Burnsville in Braxton County, right off Interstate 79. Bulltown Campground and the Bulltown Historic Area sit on the eastern shore, where a Civil War earthworks site and relocated log buildings are preserved. It is a quiet lake used mainly for fishing, paddling and camping.
