White Sulphur Springs is a city in eastern Greenbrier County on I-64, a short drive east of Lewisburg. The Greenbrier, a resort operating on the site since 1778, occupies most of the town and includes the declassified Cold War congressional bunker built beneath it in the late 1950s. The Greenbrier Sporting Club, three golf courses and the Monongahela National Forest boundary are all within a few miles.
