Smoke Hole Canyon is a 20-mile gorge cut by the South Branch of the Potomac River between Cabins and Upper Tract in Pendleton and Grant counties. Limestone cliffs rise steeply on both sides, and the river is a well regarded smallmouth bass and trout fishery with canoe access at Big Bend. The historic Smoke Hole Church and the Big Bend campground are the main developed sites.
