Where to stay near Meadow River
The Meadow River rises in Greenbrier County near Rainelle and flows northwest to join the Gauley River in Fayette and Nicholas counties. Its lower gorge is a steep Class IV and V creek run for expert boaters when rain brings it up. The upper river above Nallen is a slow, wetland-lined stretch and much of the corridor is now public land in the Meadow River Wildlife Management Area.
