Lansing is an unincorporated community in Fayette County on the north rim of the New River Gorge, just off US 19. The Canyon Rim Visitor Center, the main National Park Service contact station for New River Gorge National Park and Preserve, is here at the north end of the bridge. Several rafting outfitters and adventure resorts operate from Lansing, and Fayetteville is a short drive south.

New River Gorge Bridge
A steel arch bridge carrying US 19 for 3,030 feet across the New River Gorge, 876 feet above the water. It opened in 1977 and is the site of Bridge Day each October.

Babcock State Park
A 4,127 acre state park at Clifftop with cabins, a campground, Boley Lake and about 20 miles of trails. Manns Creek Gorge runs through the middle of it.
