When it gets busy
| Event | When | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Appalachian String Band Music Festival | Wednesday through Sunday of the first full week in August | Most attendees camp on site, but cabins and rentals around Babcock State Park, Ansted and Fayetteville fill for the week. |
| Mountain Music Festival | One weekend in late spring or early summer | On-site camping carries most of the crowd, and the rest fills Oak Hill and Fayetteville rentals for a two or three night stay. |
| Bridge Jam | A weekend each summer in downtown Fayetteville | It lands inside peak summer rafting season, so Fayetteville is already tight and the festival closes the remaining rooms. |
