A 78 mile rail trail on the former Chesapeake and Ohio Greenbrier Division, running from Cass to Caldwell near Lewisburg. It crosses 35 bridges and two tunnels and never exceeds a gentle grade.

Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park
The site of the largest Civil War battle fought in West Virginia, on November 6, 1863. The park holds a lookout tower, a museum and preserved earthworks along US 219.

Beartown State Park
A 110 acre park on the eastern face of Droop Mountain built around deep sandstone crevices and overhanging cliffs. A half mile boardwalk loop is the only way through it.
