Group Lodging near North Fork Mountain
Cabins and lodges that sleep 12 or more, common near the New River Gorge, Snowshoe and the Hatfield-McCoy trail towns. Bunk rooms and multiple bathrooms are the deciding features.
North Fork Mountain is a long quartzite ridge running about 24 miles between Petersburg and Judy Gap in Pendleton and Grant counties. The North Fork Mountain Trail follows the crest past Chimney Top and a series of west-facing cliff overlooks above Germany Valley, and it is one of the driest ridges in the state with no reliable water. It is a well known backpacking and mountain biking route.
