Group Lodging near Seneca Rocks
Cabins and lodges that sleep 12 or more, common near the New River Gorge, Snowshoe and the Hatfield-McCoy trail towns. Bunk rooms and multiple bathrooms are the deciding features.
Seneca Rocks is a Tuscarora quartzite fin that rises roughly 900 feet above the North Fork of the South Branch Potomac River in Pendleton County. It is the best known traditional climbing crag in the eastern United States and the only true summit in the East reached solely by technical climbing. The unincorporated community at its base is at the junction of Routes 33, 55 and 28, where the 1.3-mile trail to the observation platform and the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center start. Spruce Knob is well under an hour southwest, and Dolly Sods the same to the north.
