Secluded Cabins in Matewan, WV
Single cabins on private acreage with no shared driveway and no view of another building. Many sit on gravel roads in Pocahontas, Pendleton, Randolph and Webster counties where cell service drops out.
Matewan is a town in Mingo County on the Tug Fork, across from Kentucky. The Matewan Massacre, a May 1920 gunfight between miners and Baldwin-Felts detectives that opened the West Virginia mine wars, took place on its main street, and bullet holes remain in the surviving buildings. The West Virginia Mine Wars Museum is downtown and the Hatfield-McCoy feud sites are within a few miles.
