|---|---|---|
| Bridge Day | Third Saturday in October | Bridge Day is one of the busiest weekends of the year around the New River Gorge, and lodging near Fayetteville books far in advance. |

| Ski Season | Mid-December through mid-March, conditions permitting | Weekends and school holiday weeks fill first and carry two or three night minimums, with slopeside condos the first to go. |
| Summer Holiday Weekends | Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day each year | Three-night minimums are near universal and campgrounds at Summersville, Bluestone, Stonewall and Tygart lakes book months ahead. |
| State Fair of West Virginia | Ten days in August, ending the fourth Saturday | Lewisburg, Fairlea and Ronceverte sell out for the whole ten days, particularly the concert nights and the closing weekend. |
